Debt Ceiling Debate

Here's the short article about the Debt Ceiling Debate that actually explains why we're talking about chickens and rabbits and bees and gardens while stocking up on other valuables like guns and knives and bullets and precious metals and commodities and food. I don't know when the crash is coming, and I truly hope it never does, but the train has already left the station and it's not coming back. The Demopublicans have been spending like drunken sailors and it will soon be time to pay the piper. Hyperinflation is real and has crashed at least 9 currencies in the past 90 years, including those of Germany Weimer Republic, Hungary, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Angola, Yugoslavia, Belarus and Zimbabwe. Think the USA currency is too big to fail? Think the Federal Reserver can just print more money to get us out of this situation? Somebody please tell me why I'm wrong about this.
End of rant.
Here's the source on the 9 failed currencies:

Overwhelm the system

I'm often asked: Why don't you like Barack Obama. My standard answer is: it's not that I don't like him, it's that I disagree with his political philosophy. I believe in freedom and individual responsibility (per Thomas Jefferson), while Mr. Obama believes in big government and central planning (per Karl Marx). Most people just shrug their shoulders and change the subject.

The following was written by Wayne Allyn Root, and it explains things a lot better:

Obama's agenda: Overwhelm the system

Rahm Emanuel cynically said, "You never want a crisis to go to waste." It is now becoming clear that the crisis he was referring to is Barack Obama's presidency.

Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos -- thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.

Barack Obama is my college classmate ( Columbia University , class of '83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University . They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival ... and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.

Universal health care . The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn't care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?

Cap and trade . Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama "spread the wealth around."

Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.

Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.

Stimulus and bailouts . Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America . The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.

Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.

With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama using the Cloward and Piven Plan.

Civil War?

So far, eight states have introduced resolutions declaring state sovereignty under the 9th and 10th amendments of the US Constitution. 20 more states are expected to be added to that list. You probably won't see anything about this in the mainstream media any time soon. It's about time the states start yelling at the arrogant SOB's in Washington.

Here's a short article from WND. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=88218

Here's New Hampshire's version. I'm sure Civil War is a long way off (at least I HOPE!), but the posturing has begun. Maybe people are actually catching on to the fact that central planning just doesn't work and that collectivism is what got us into this mess.

A new president

I just want to clarify my position on the new president who is being inaugurated today. I do NOT have a problem with his race. I DO have a problem with his political leanings - mostly towards more government. (Besides, I think he's really Irish. They just missed the apostrophe when he came over from across the ocean as a child. His name is really O'Bama.)

I also have a problem with the media circus surrounding this whole thing, and with the Messiah worship that I see going on out there. Talk about the masses being so easily brainwashed! Yes, I'm also brainwashed in many ways (my consumer mentality keeps me in debt), but there are so many people out there who think that Mr. Obama is going to wave his magic wand and turn the world into a utopia. I'm sorry, but utopia is an unrealistic hope and dystopia is the direction that Mr. Obama's MORE GOVERNMENT political leanings will take us.

What ever happened to the concept of the Free Market? So many people think that the free market is the Wild West and that we need government bureaucrats to make rules to restrain the greed and profit of the free market system. Well, government officials make rules that will fill the pockets of their political contributors, while telling the masses that it's for the benefit of "the people". What a crock. Basic economics tells us that greed and profit are what drives the free market and what makes the whole system work. Basic economics also tells us that when the government sticks it's nose into the free market, it throws the whole system off balance - and the winners are usually the powerful political contributors and the losers are the brainwashed masses. Greed and profit are also the driving force behind big government. The only difference is that they have the big guns and they use coercion to fill their pockets - rather than innovation, competition and the law of supply and demand.

Did you notice that Mr. Obama's campaign promise of increasing taxes on "the rich" has suddenly been put on the back burner - much to Ms. Pelosi's dismay? Well, as it turns out, "the rich" (including the mass media) are the ones who put him into office, so he owes them a huge favor. Luckily for him, he has the tax code at his fingertips (also, back to basic economics - "the rich" are the ones who provide jobs for the brainwashed masses, so it's good to see him break that campaign promise). A government that penalizes success (can you say IRS?) is a government that will eventually collapse. Hopefully, the system of checks and balances that the Founding Fathers put in place will be enough to prevent that collapse.

Meanwhile, Heil O'Bama.

The American Form of Government video

This is the best video I've seen that explains the various forms of government. I suggest you take 10 minutes to learn more than you would in an entire semester at a public school.

Our Idol-elect

I've been silent (at least on this blog) about the outcome of the election on November 4, 2008. Being a registered Republican but a voting and philosophical Libertarian, I knew going in that I would be unhappy with the outcome of the election. It didn't matter if McCain or Obama-rhymes-with-Alabama won, the outcome will be the same - more collectivism and socialism disguised as change or compassionate government or some crap like that. From my perspective, Ron Paul was the only candidate worth considering. Anyway, after reading way too much before and after the election, I'll share only one article with you (well, at least for now). Here it is:

Please feel free to post comments. I don't think anybody is reading this. If you can read this, please post a comment! Even if it's just to say hello.
