I sent the following email to Fox News (yourcomments@foxnews.com) today:
As a 51 year old lifelong (except early college years!) conservative Republican who loves freedom and liberty, I wanted to let you know that I'm removing Fox News from my Favorites both on television and the Internet. I was very happy when Fox News became available through my local cable company, because I thought I finally had a channel that would give the "Fair and Balanced" coverage of the news that was advertised.
Over the years, I have become a bit cynical about the Fair and Balanced idea, since I can see clearly that Fox News is really an important part of the Military Industrial Complex. I guess there's nothing like a good war or two to keep the ratings up there. You even claimed to NOT be the president's lapdog when Bill Clinton was in the White House.
Something has changed. Your coverage of the Republican debates has shown where you really stand in the political arena. Your despicable treatment of Ron Paul during and after the debates has forced me to look at his record and his stance on the issues. I can see clearly that Fox News is doing it's best to shove him into a corner even though he presents actual solutions to our problems rather than just hot air and more government programs and more undeclared wars.
Thanks for opening my eyes and thanks for converting me into a Ron Paul supporter. I guess I'll have to go back to CNN (painful as that may be!). At least I know they lean to the left without claiming anything different. I'll be sure to only watch highlights of Fox News coverage on YouTube from now on so I don't have to watch your commercials or support your advertisers.
